Bruchsal/Graben-Neudorf, 09/03/2019 • On September 2, 2019, a group of 76 young people embarked on a new stage of their lives. In joining SEW EURODRIVE as trainees or in a cooperative study program, they are putting their trust in a company with strong roots in the region and a global perspective. The SEW family is growing.

Along with the 76 new trainees, four trainees from the training alliance will also be completing their first year with SEW EURODRIVE. This alliance makes it possible for young people to undergo training even if their company does not have its own trainee workshop where they can complete their basic training.

The new training cohort at SEW EURODRIVE includes 45 technical trainees in Graben-Neudorf and 31 trainees and students in Bruchsal. Around 250 young people in total are currently training with SEW EURODRIVE.

One of the first steps on their career path is taking part in an induction seminar. For the technical trainees, this involves five days with the responsible trainers in Bad Dürkheim, while the commercial/IT trainees and students spend the same amount of time with their trainers in Dobel. In addition to being an opportunity to get to know each other, these seminars enable the trainees to find out more about the training company SEW EURODRIVE, acquire basic professional skills and gain experience of working as a team, which is absolutely crucial for their future working lives.

For everyone, the first training year starts after the induction seminars. By their second year of training at the latest, the trainees will spend time in different divisions of the company to see where they would like to work once they pass their exams – because SEW EURODRIVE keeps on its trainees. On the one hand, this enables us to keep on growing, and on the other, we can adequately replace our staff when they go into retirement.
