Assembly Office - Power User (1st shift) - Troy, OH

This job entails the on-site support of all computer and network hardware, operating systems, and client software, primarily in Troy Assembly, Chicago Sales Office, Louisville Sales Office and the Detroit Sales Office. The primary focus of the position is to ensure effective end user support, and first level network (wireless and wired) support in a plant environment dependent on 24/7 reliability. This job is an hourly position.

Experience / Salary

Working knowledge of Windows Client OS (7+).

Prefer experience with Wireless Networks in Manufacturing plant environments.

$20/hr

Actual Tasks

  • Troubleshoot network, infrastructure, computer, and software issues.
  • Provide prompt, and extensive user support for user questions and the solving of user problems.
  • Escalate issues to Corporate IT as needed for further assistance / troubleshooting.
  • Work with Corporate IT to implement company wide policies / changes / updates at the site.
  • Work with Corporate IT to implement computer hardware, infrastructure, operating systems, and client software.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment.
  • Support portable communication devices (handheld scanners, phones, IPAD, etc.).

Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Windows Client OS (7+).
  • Prefer experience with Wireless Networks in Manufacturing plant environments
  • Must be comfortable troubleshooting/resolving issues/errors on software/systems where direct knowledge may not exist.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines for project implementation.
  • Ability to perform all tasks listed above to the Company’s expectations.
