MFG - Utilities Chips and Coolant (2nd shift) - Lyman, SC

Currently the position involves handling all coolants and oils for all machines, operating forklifts, as well as the performance of any other maintenance utility duties as requested.

Work Hours

  • Normal work hours are 3:00pm - 11pm
  • 10% shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts

Actual Tasks

  • Carry out all waste products from the Plant and dispose of properly (coolants, chips, pallets, cleaners).
  • Refill machines with coolants that have been mixed properly.
  • Complete all paper work correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Read and understand supporting documentation for the work area, and properly use and maintain the equipment.
  • Monitor the work area for cleanliness.

Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to climb onto a fork truck and drive to various locations.
  • Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
  • Ability to perform physical activity associated with operation of equipment including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching in order to meet production needs.
  • Ability to distinguish between different types of filters and oils.
