IG Office - Quality Assurance Analyst (1st shift) - Lyman, SC
Position is responsible for gathering and reviewing quality and production relevant data necessary to ensure compliance with customer requirements and with established policies and procedures. Where gaps and continuous improvement opportunities arise the QA analyst will assist the Technical Compliance Manager, Operations Manager and other management personnel to drive the improvement objectives down to the relevant IG teams.
Educational Requirements and Salary
Certification or Associated Degree: Tech field + ASQ Cert. CQIA, CQPA, CQE
Bachelors Degree: Engineering or Engineering Tech - ME< EE, IE, MET
Salary: $55,000 - $70,000
Actual Tasks
- Monitor and support Key Process Indicator (KPI) gathering and publish periodic reports
- Monitor Corrective Actions, Continuous Improvements and Non-conformances in QMS system and drive to completion
- Monitor Customer complaints and drive teams to Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) and resolution
- Direct continuous improvement projects related to Quality, ensuring they are visible to management and kept on schedule.
- Maintain Procedures and Quality Records
- Conduct monthly Quality Audits in the shop
Skills and Abilities
- Possess a working understanding of QMS tools and methods (RCCA, 8D, Pareto, etc...)
- Must be familiar with ISO 9001-2015 or similar Quality Management System (QMS) standards
- Must be able to read prints, interpret GD&T requirements and be familiar with ISO / ANSI / AWS standards on manufacturing drawings
- Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills.
- Possess the ability to collect and interpret information, derive solutions and communicate findings with employees in a businesslike and professional manner.
- Possess strong overall office skills, including use of computers, their applications, and other office equipment, with emphasis on SAP ERP, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
