Regional Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator (1st shift) - DeSoto, TX

Position involves responsibility of ensuring compliance with local and national regulations regarding environmental health and safety. The position will focus primarily on our SEW-Dallas and SEW-Hayward locations with a secondary focus on corporate safety initiatives at all SEW US locations In addition to compliance the position will focus heavily on reducing and preventing on the job accidents and environmental hazards. Actual Tasks

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and national EH&S regulations and standards
  • Identify potential hazards and work with the responsible parties to reduce and prevent the hazard from causing an accident.
  • Perform regular environmental and safety audits and inspections.
  • Ensure that all required EH&S permits & plans are up to date
  • Work with Corporate EHS Coordinator along with SEW-Safety Team.

Skills and Abilities

  • Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform all listed EH&S job tasks to the Company‚Äôs expectations.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous interruptions.
