EtherCAT and Motion Control – High-speed industrial ETHERNET
With the EtherCAT DFE24B interface module, drives from SEW-EURODRIVE can be connected to the EtherCAT bus system, currently
the fastest bus system on the market.
Synchronization via Distributed Clock and a synchronization pulse of 1 to 10 ms ensures hard real time communication for motion
control applications. The MOVIDRIVE® B series of drive inverters with DFE24B EtherCAT support motion control applications with pulse synchronized speed or position
setpoint entries.
The mailbox gateway in the EtherCAT master ensures unlimited engineering access, for example, for MOVITOOLS® MotionStudio down to the drive level.
