The drive solutions used in the past made it very difficult to clean the production systems as thoroughly as required. Standard motors often come equipped with cooling fins and fans in which dirt can accumulate and germs and bacteria may be distributed in air swirls. The ASEPTIC motors of the DAS series have a smooth surface and are not equipped with fans.
