Lyman, SC - May 17, 2006 - SEW-EURODRIVE has expanded its revolutionary TorqLOC® keyless hollow shaft mounting system to fit
larger parallel shaft helical and helical bevel gear units. Nineteen new sizes cover shaft diameters from 3.25 to 5.0 inches
(80 to 125mm) and are available in steel or stainless steel for harsh environments.
The patented TorqLOC system was designed to reduce costs for machine construction and downtime for factory maintenance. It
is based on interchangeable bushings that accommodate different shaft diameters, which eliminates the need to cut keyways
or turn the solid shaft to exacting tolerances. This reduces the cost of building machines for OEMs, as well as component
replacement costs for end-users. The keyless system also makes it easy to remove the gear unit for maintenance, even after
many hours of operation in corrosive environments. It is compact for mounting close to bearings or machine frames.
